The Concept | a redeeming line of t-shirts for women...designed to spread the Word

"That's What He Said" t-shirts were designed to help people spread the Word of God in a relevant, approachable way through the clothes they wear. Our hope is that these shirts will create curiosity among viewers and will open a door for a conversation with the wearer about its true meaning.

The name of the line, "That's What He Said!" is a play on the popular phrase, "That's what she said." While the latter phrase generally carries a derogatory connotation, the "That's what He said" phrase shifts the messaging into a positive and Truth-bearing thought, because the "He" in the phrase refers to God. Each shirt features a common everyday expression paired with a scripture. The pair suggests how God might express Himself using today's modern lingo.

Besides a cute shirt, the purpose behind the line is twofold:

  • to redeem common everyday language by bringing the focus to Him; and
  • to show that the Bible is relevant and applicable to everyday life, even down to the words we say.

The Owner & Designer | Kristin Morris

I am on life-long mission to create from the heart, to share ideas and to encourage others to do the same. I have been living out this mission both personally and professionally for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I spent much of my spare time making handmade gifts for friends and family, and I am still doing that today!

In 2011, my mission took on a brand new look when I launched the "That's what He said" t-shirt line.

That being said, I humbly recognize that these really aren't MY ideas...

I give all glory to God for this concept, for each idea here, and for putting every resource in place to bring this business and ministry to life. I especially thank him for my dear friend, Gayla, who has faithfully and patiently encouraged me, educated me, and supported me every step of the way! I couldn't--and wouldn't!--have done it without her by my side!

I pray that as you and I wear these shirts, that we will be looking for opportunities to spread the Word, wherever we find ourselves. Afterall, that's what He said in Matthew 28:19-20, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."
